Dawn French is Britain's first lady of television comedy. Her multi-award winning sitcom 'The Vicar of Dibley' written by Richard Curtis, has won more viewers than any other comedy programme over the last several years, while alongside comedy partner Jennifer Saunders, the recent French and Saunders tour sold out around the country.

Over her 20 year career, Dawn has worked over a variety of genres, but has happily settled in comedy. She continues to work in theatre and film as well as television, and has won fans around the world. Dawn is also known for speaking out on issues of 'fattism' and body image as a role model of success in an unfortunate society of discrimination. She has been married to comedian Lenny Henry for over 15 years and they have one daughter.

This website aims to provide information about Dawn French's work and to some extent, her life.
